Recent scientific research has confirmed Mester’s findings. In 2009, in a 26-week, randomized, double-blind study done on 110 patients, researchers concluded that the HairMax LaserComb, one of the earliest laser devices sold to treat hair loss, was an effective treatment for male pattern baldness. The LaserComb group showed significantly greater increases in hair density compared to the placebo (sham device) group (2).

Reduces hair loss: A good number of people with chronic hair loss bought this device. Some had prior complains of fistfuls of hair falling off whenever they washed or combed. After a few weeks of use, their hair was no longer falling off. Others complained of prior rapid hair loss. The device was able to slow down this to nil. This made some a little skeptical and were left asking “does iGrow work?” When they got rid of the device however, their rapid hair loss returned. Give it time
Sorry Lori but you’ve tipped your hand. Lori’s timeline, thats a long time after her initial testimony to have the urge to keep coming back here to defend this product. Notice how her hairstylist is soooooo excited to cut her new hair…. I mean common. So does she also work for QVC cause shes quoting their no risk you got nothing to lose like a 3am infomercial. And yeah caught that one too, one day of non use and she could tell her hair suffered from that. Sorry Lori waaaaay toooo many one sided persuasive arguments. Be vigil people, when reading reviews a tip is to ignore positive reviews and focus on the negatives. Generally negative reviews are real, see what the complaints are focused towards and if the product is what it claims there will be minimal complaints. Hope that helps. Lori lol, i wonder what her, or more likely his real name is…
I couldn’t be happier with my results from using both the iGrow and iDerma. My hairline has grown back while the overall health of my hair has improved and I feel as though I am on my way back to having the hair I had a few months before all of the stress. As for my skin, it looks younger, less ruddy, and with iDerma's hands free feature that treats the whole face in 8 minutes it is much faster and more convenient then my old hand held device. Despite being a tough business Braile tells me, “Its hearing success stories like yours and others where our technology makes a positive impact on peoples quality of life that keeps us going”.

My whole life I've had extremely long, long hair that reaches all the way down to my hips & it has always been extremely thick. My hair has My mom also had thick, thick, LONG hair, all the way down to her calfs, yes her calfs, her whole life. To sum things up, all women in my family including my 2 girls have long thick hair & so loosing my hair has been extremely tramatic! There is NO history of hairloss or thinning of any kind in my family so why am I loosing my hair? I have gone to several doctors, had blood work done, hormones checked etc & still no answers & no solutions. I've tried everything I could get my hands on, shampoos, vitamins, creams etc & nothing has worked!

Hi Julie – I just wanted to say thank you for your review. I have been diagnosed with chronic telogen effluvium almost 2 years ago and experience considerable daily shedding with pretty much no regrowth noticeable. I’m still contemplating purchasing this crazy device at this point but your ongoing review has helped add some perspective. Looking forward to the next update.
I'm so sorry to hear you didn't get the hoped-for results from using the iGrow. Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT) is a clinically-proven treatment for genetic hair loss, but naturally results can vary from person to person depending on many factors such as extent of hair loss, genetics and just the differences between individuals. Many people are indeed happy to wear hats, shave their heads or just learn to "live with it", but for those who are not the iGrow has helped thousands of men and women worldwide with their thinning hair.
Not satisfied with accepting my hair loss situation as my new normal I immediately went into research mode. I came across a variety of potentially dangerous and messy topical medications and hair transplants. I wasn’t into either of those options. And just when I was beginning to get discouraged, the universe magically provided a potential solution—iGrow, an at-home, FDA-cleared, Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT) device that is used to help stimulate hair growth for both men and women. After testing out the unit out for six months I was amazed by the results and wanted to share this option with anyone out there suffering from hair loss looking for a viable solution.
Further the manufacturer puts a claim that the product makes the hair of the user to look rather fuller and thicker making them glow and appear much healthier than before. This is attributed to the fact that there is enhanced cellular activity when using this product that makes the air follicles to receive much energy, nutrients and growth hormones for growth within the adipose tissues of the skin.
Reviewers seem to always think that their personal case applies to everyone and make definitive statements like “don’t waste your money” or “it works”. Each user will respond differently to laser light therapy for hair loss. Hair growth response will depend on the type of hair loss, skin tone, skin thickness, and dosage. Certain types of hair loss will not respond to laser light therapy, no matter what…this product and ones like it will not work for some people. If it doesn’t work for you, then you may fall within this category and there’s no point in telling others that it doesn’t work and not to waste money. These types of products may also be less effective in people with a darker skin tone. Melanin in skin absorbs light. Likewise, melanin in skin will absorb the light coming from these products. The darker you are, the more melanin you have, and the more absorption of light…those with darker skin tone may want to increase dosage (speak with a trichologist first). About dosage, go to pubmed.com and find articles that reviewed laser light therapy dosage. You’ll find that there is a very broad range of length of time and frequency of application…some articles say 2-3 times a week while others say up to 40 times a week. Once again, we’re all different and dosage with respect to time and frequency will depend on the individual. A user must also consider how penetration of light into the skin has an influence on efficacy. Penetration of light will depend on the level of intensity of light, the thickness of a user’s skin, and the distance of the light from the skin, (as well as the melanin concentration as stated above). The iGrow helmet has its own standard of light intensity, while other devices may have a different intensity of light. The intensity and distance of light to a user’s scalp are probably the most important factors that will determine penetration of light into the skin. Optimal penetration needs to occur for this type of therapy to work. I’m assuming iGrow has figured out the optimal distance and intensity of light for best results.

iRestore is engineered to be lightweight, comfortable, and durable. The hands-free design allows you to go about your day uninterrupted, so you can save time and focus on the important things in your life. iRestore provides a safe, drug-free way to experience hair regrowth without the frustration of negative side effects. Although individual results may vary, you can expect to see visible growth in as little as 3 to 6 months.
We’ve already discussed how to use a laser comb, but it’s worth mentioning again that laser combing isn’t like regular hair combing in that you only need a few passes over your scalp to do the job right. Instead, you’ll need to keep combing with a laser comb for up to 10 minutes, at least three times a week. Have you ever combed your hair for several minutes? It’s not as easy as it sounds, although you may build up your arm muscles in the process.

The helmet contains 51 medical-grade lasers and red LED lights that emit at a wavelength of 650nm. All you need to do is wear it for 25 minutes every other day. You can do other activities while you wait for the session to finish. iRestore says it usually takes 12 to 24 weeks to see a reduction in hair loss. Then you’ll see thicker hair within 5 to 6 months.

Thank you for reaching out to us. It's not a known side effect of the iGrow and didn't occur in any of our studies, but it's normal for people to shed 50-100 hairs per day as part of hair's natural growth cycle. There are a very small number of people who experience a little bit more at the beginning of any hair loss treatment which is just the follicle letting go while a new hair is created. It can be alarming, but when it does happen it's minor, temporary and re-grows with the rest of the rejuvenated hair.
This is one of the newer options. If you’re an aesthetic type of person like I am, and the idea of wearing a ball cap appeals to you more than wearing a goofy-looking helmet, this may be worth checking out. It doesn’t have the review history or track record of the aforementioned products, but it does appear to be a legitimate and functional product. The Capillus82 features 82 laser diodes, a rechargeable battery back, carrying case, and a 1-year limited warranty. They claim their product has a 95% success rate.
It’s been almost a month since my last update and as you can tell from the last two images above, no new hair… I’ve had an email from someone saying my pictures can be subjective and might not give the true picture. He suggested that I do a video around my head to show things better. I actually tried to do that but it’s almost impossible to do it by myself so I’m sticking with the pictures.
The iGrow Laser Hair Rejuvenation System has been designed to be easy, comfortable, safe and simple to use in the comfort and privacy of your own home. The hands-free design allows you to get on with other things while completing your treatment, and is comfortable too, thanks to the lightweight design and 4 adjustable fit columns with rotating weight distribution for ultimate comfort.

I’ve been using the Igrow since November 2015 and it works. I noticed less hair loss within a week. About six weeks after I started using it, I changed hairstyles and pulled back my bangs for the first time in months. When I looked in the mirror, I thought I had smudged something dark around my hairline and I tried to wipe it off. It turned out to be new hair growth along my hairline. I use the Igrow faithfully, more than is recommended actually and my thin spots have begun to noticeably fill in. I’ve recommended it to my mother, her husband and my brother, all of whom have purchased one and have experienced decreased hair loss in the last few weeks. I’ve read enough reviews to believe that maybe the Igrow does not work for everyone. I’m just glad it’s working for me. I think I paid almost $600 for it on QVC, but I don’t regret it at all. Since it can be returned, I believe it’s worth taking a chance to see if it works for you.

iGrow uses a combination of proven science and technological achievements. It is the product of decades of research and development. It uses the same technology as the ones used by professional hair loss medical experts without the very high cost of such on-going treatments. LLLT works to invigorate the cells within so that the hair will grow naturally healthy. It uses the scientifically-proven wavelength of 655 nanometers.

Wow the nerve of some people. I swear people just spout things off without thinking about what they are saying first. I wear my hear very short also. It is a personal choice (mainly because I am lazy and just do not want to spend more than 5 min on it a day. Plus long hair gets in the way of a lot of the physical activities I like to do in my off time) and my choice alone. I think your hair looks great and I would never have noticed it was thinning you if you had not mentioned it. Too bad it only works for men up to age 48. I know my husband would have been interested.
Using the iRestore is quite straight forward. All you have to do is put it on your head, press the power button on the controller and then the start button. The helmet is made of plastic. It has a built-in clap to fit into head of different size. I found the claps are little tight to make it a little uncomfortable.  The laser and LED lights turn on and off for 25 minutes, and you’re done. The controller gives a beep at the end of the session, and the LEDs automatically turn off. The session also lasts for just 25 minutes every day.
We love the fact that this hair laser growth machine is so easy to use. It reminds you of wearing a sports cap when you need to wear it. The only difference would be how much benefits it has to offer in hair restoration. Depending on everyone’s budget, the price can fall more toward the “expensive” side though. However, for the advantages you will get from using this hair growth laser cap, we declared this is the best hair laser growth device in 2018. Try it for yourself and let us know what do you think!
What you want to know is whether this device works, and if so, is it worth the money. Well,...I can tell you that it works, yes, it does benefit the reduction and also the regrowth of hair follicles. If you want to know that science of what the device does, you can see countless videos made that discuss what light therapy does to your scalp. Is it worth the cash? For me, it was. For you, well,..it's your money, so I can only suggest that it is cheaper and way less invasive that a hair transplant. Now, that being said, if you are bald and have not seen hair follicles in years, this device will not help you. If have thinning hair and want to make your hair thicker and regrow hair follicles that are not gone, but simply dormant, this device will do what it promises.
The use of this product has been credited on the grounds that it has minimal or no side effects on the user since the technology used to design it and the method it uses to revive hair growth in the body of the user are both friendly to all sorts of users. The cost of the product however surprises a number of users since it only goes for six hundred and ninety five dollars; a cost that can never be compared or equated to the benefits that emanate from the use. Following the use of this product, the results can be recognized within the first four to six months of use making it a fast acting product one should go for.

You’d basically be a guinea pig for this product, since there isn’t enough third party feedback on whether this works or not. It might be a better offer if they let you break up the payments into installments, or offer a trial period where you pay a smaller up front cost of around $100 and then pay the balance if you like it after 60 days. But the way they have this set up puts all of the risk on you, even with their guarantee in place. Anytime we see that we think that the company isn’t very confident in their product. We like it better when there is some risk placed on the business so they have a vested interest in bringing a working product to market.
Thank you for your feedback. The 4 spacing columns with silicone cushion "caps" help suspend the light canopy over the scalp to allow for the best coverage and absorption of the light waves. Most find wearing the iGrow quite comfortable, but naturally everyone is a little different. If your scalp is more sensitive, I've heard from some that placing a cotton ball between the silicone cushion and the scalp helps them.
