Bought this almost 2 years ago, paid over $600 for the unit. Use of it has never resulted in any more hair on my head. It was a total waste of money, and the price was certainly not insignificant. Additionally, the unit just died on me and will not even turn on anymore....but that doesn't matter since it never helped anyway. I am totally disgusted that Amazon would even list this item on their site. This makes me think twice about the quality of the items Amazon allows to be marketed for them. Oh by the way, now I see that the price has been dropped significantly. Guess people are getting wise to this gimmick product and not buying it.

I purchased the iGrow in June of 2017, have used it 2-3 times a week as directed, every single week since June 2017. It is now March of 2018, and I can't say there is even the slightest of difference in my hair density. If anything, I might have lost more since I purchased the device, but I think it's due to the progression of hair loss and nothing to do with the device, although I still believe the iGrow helmet hasn't made any difference.
Though it is unclear as to how often you had used the iGrow or if those uses were consistant, we are sorry to hear you didn't have the hoped-for results. All viable hair loss treatments require at least 4-6 months to begin seeing improvement, and the iGrow is no exception. Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT) is a clinically proven treatment for genetic hair loss, but naturally results can vary from person to person depending on many factors such as extent of hair loss, genetics and just the differences between individuals. However, as in all things, their will always be some types of hair loss it cannot help. Thank you for your feedback and giving the iGrow a try.
Considering its price which isn’t cheap, you may need to really think a thousand times. However, if you deem it suitable for you and if you think it will help address your hair loss problem, then, the manufacturer will gladly help you make your purchase once your purchase this product as you can always communicate with them for assistance after your purchase.

I was not joking but I am very happy with the Igrow and with my results. I still have superfine hair and that has not changed, but I have much more hair and more body. I have found that I get used to this new hair and forget that I need to maintain it, forgetting to use the Igrow once in awhile, until I notice I’m losing body. When I notice, I go back to using it and it has more life. The Igrow increases the blood flow to the follicles. More blood flow, more body, more hair growth.
Another good reason for giving low-level laser treatments a try is that they’re very safe – hence the FDA “clearance” for many of them. Users report very few laser comb side effects, if any, and most are very minor, such as an itchy scalp or mild irritation. Despite some claims, LLLT therapy does not burn your scalp. Besides, many LLLT devices come with automatic shut-offs when your session has finished.
It is an FDA-cleared (not FDA approved, meaning the effectiveness and safety is not rigorously demonstrated.  In contrast, Minoxidil and finasteride are FDA approved ) laser hair therapy system  intended for both men and women who suffer from androgenic alopecia. The device is said to use clinical-strength laser technology in treating both hair loss and thinning hair for men and women. More specifically, it is intended for men between the age range of 18-48 (Norwooed-Hamilton Scale between Class IIa to V )and women between 18-60 years who are suffering from hair loss (Ludwig Savin Scale between Class I to II ) (see image below). The skin type IRestore may work is Fitzpatrick Skin Types  I to VI as shown below.
Using the iRestore is quite straight forward. All you have to do is put it on your head, press the power button on the controller and then the start button. The helmet is made of plastic. It has a built-in clap to fit into head of different size. I found the claps are little tight to make it a little uncomfortable.  The laser and LED lights turn on and off for 25 minutes, and you’re done. The controller gives a beep at the end of the session, and the LEDs automatically turn off. It is recommended to use 2-3 times a week. One needs to continue to use the device to keep the results.
That thing is hideous. If it does restore my hair though, that does not bother me in the least. The two giant earmuff looking things you see there do actually act as headphones as well. It is fully compatible with your iPod or any other mp3 player. That’s a nice little bell they added and the whistle is the adjustable clips that fit almost any head size. Now let’s break down the technical specifications of the iGrow Laser Helmet as advertised. The important thing to remember here is that an effective wavelength for LLLT is at 655 nanometers.
First, let me start by saying I bought my IGrow system back in 2011. I used it diligently 3xs a week and WOW. It really changed the thickness and texture of my individual strands. It also helped dormant follicles come back and my thinning spots went away. Truly helped bring my self confidence back in my life. Once my hair got strong I did extensions for awhile and then I was pregnant so my hair was awesome for a few years! Now that my baby is 3yrs old and I'm 45 my hair has gotten thin again. So I brought out my IGrow out of the closet to get my hair back. The only problem was it kept shorting out. It wouldn't stay on. So I called the company hoping for a replacement box that I would of had no problem paying for. Since it had been over 6 years since I bought it. Well, I gotta say this company probably has the best customer service I have ever experienced. First, I spoke to Jonathan the owner a funny very personable guy who told me to call back on the next business day to get things sorted. When I did and explained to Melody what it was doing she told me, it was a wire in the helmut. So she told me to send back my 6 yr old helmut and she would replace it with a new one for FREE! I was astounded! This company and their people truly stand behind their products and their just amazing and kind. If I still lived in California I would beg for a job. If more companies in the world were ran like this, it would be a much better place. Thank you again IGROW for not only a great product, but for you😃
This type of hair loss in men has been associated with a number of other medical conditions including the enlargement of the prostate, and coronary heart disease. Additionally, insulin resistance, high blood pressure, and obesity can all be contributing factors to hair loss. In women, this type of hair loss is usually associated with polycystic ovary syndrome, which is characterized by a hormonal imbalance.
Lightweight, comfortable, easy to use, and proven effective, this iRestore LLLT treatment dome received plenty of positive feedback from satisfied men and women. The only real drawback is the inability to set the length of treatment. Overall, the device is reasonably priced and can provide results in a matter of weeks. We gave this model a rating of five stars.

Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT) is a clinically-proven treatment for genetic hair loss, but naturally results can vary from person to person depending on many factors such as extent of hair loss, genetics and just the differences between individuals. Many people are indeed happy to wear hats, shave their heads or just learn to "live with it", but for those who are not the iGrow has helped thousands of men and women worldwide with their thinning hair.

Our verdict? Which method of laser treatment you choose takes a few things into consideration – price, convenience and, of course, effectiveness. You’ll spend more for a laser helmet (or cap) but you get a more powerful treatment. A comb treatment only takes several minutes and many are cordless to provide supreme convenience. But if more power truly leads to better results – as many experts suggest – then a laser helmet provides a better overall treatment option, if you’re willing to spend the money.
The recommended use for HairMax Ultima 9 is three 10-15 minute sessions per week. That seems like a lot of combing – and you may develop some nicely-toned and muscled arms in the process – but, again, it’s only for three times a week and you can do it in the convenience of your home. So, put on some music, or your favorite television show, and comb away.
The restocking fee at $120 for a product that costs $700 is not bad. It’s not great, but it’s not terrible either. But then you’ve got to wonder, if you could make a garbage product for $30 and rent it out for six months for $120, could you make money? The answer is a definitive yes. The 6 month money back guarantee is nothing to brag about because of the high restocking fee. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t tempted, but the restocking fee makes me cringe just a bit.

I just started with the igrow. I have hair loss due to taking accutane(isotretinoin). It started after taking it and has gotten progressively worse. After being off for two years I continue to loose a lot of hair. I am near balding on top my head with a receded hairline. Hair loss doesn’t run in my family until late 40’s and early 50’s. Whether my hair loss is just drug induced, or maybe accutane just sped up my genetic hair loss I was destined to have at a much later time, I will bookmark this site and try to update you guys if I have any results at a later time.
Bought the Igrow a year ago but learned alot about it after buying it. The product might be effective preventing hair loss but definitely alot better products out there. Igrow uses a mix of laser and led. LED does nothing for you, its a scam them make to more money. What helps is the laser or diode. The more diodes the better for hair. Hope you guys wont make the same mistake I did.
The blog reviews iRestore laser hair growth system, one of the many brands that belong to Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) for hair loss treatment.  There are some clinical studies indicating LLLT can work to halt or even reverse hair loss in early stage. It is a much less popular treatment type than the mainstream treatment like Minoxidil and finasteride. The clinical studies were done in a much smaller scale than minoxidil and finasteride. The effectiveness of LLLT is generally believed to be not as good as minoxidil and finasteride.  Nonetheless, it warrants some examination.
I want to say two more things and then I am gone. First, you are going to find more expensive and also cheaper machines that promise the same thing as this device. DO YOUR RESEARCH. The more expensive ones are simply that, more expensive. The cheaper ones, well, they are trash. You'll find that the cheap ones are just l.e.d. bulbs and no laser. This type of device will do nothing but aggravate you and waste your time and money. Second thing, and this one you should really take to heart. This device alone, will only do so much. Think of this device as the sun. Think of your hair as the grass. Think of your scalp as the dirt. Your body, more importantly, what you put in it, feeds your scalp. My point is,...diet, namely yours. I'll use myself as an example. I don't smoke. I eat very healthy. I work out. I take the appropriate vitamins and minerals. I clean my scalp with a DHT blocker shampoo. I use a honey based conditioner. I do also use an over the counter minoxidil.
The iGrow is a standalone treatment which doesn't require anything additional to be effective. However, Apira Science does produce various products and accessories for purchase, which are sometimes offered as part of a "package" by sellers. I do wish you'd contacted us before leaving a negative review, since it sounds as though you simply bought a package that included a free bottle of shampoo alone.
iRestore has been clinically studied by doctors and been proven to promote hair regrowth for men and women in a recent 2017 research study. In this clinical study, an astonishing 100% of active male and female users saw visible hair growth with an average increase of 43.23% in hair count (Scroll down to the "RELATED VIDEO SHORTS" section below to learn more)
Others might insist that laser technology is for hair removal and not for hair growth treatment. As we have said before, the laser light has been perfectly balanced to stimulate hair growth cells. With just enough stimulation from the low light, your hair will grow healthier and thicker. Hair removal on the other hand uses overly powerful lasers to kill the hair follicles and cells.

I couldn’t be happier with my results from using both the iGrow and iDerma. My hairline has grown back while the overall health of my hair has improved and I feel as though I am on my way back to having the hair I had a few months before all of the stress. As for my skin, it looks younger, less ruddy, and with iDerma's hands free feature that treats the whole face in 8 minutes it is much faster and more convenient then my old hand held device. Despite being a tough business Braile tells me, “Its hearing success stories like yours and others where our technology makes a positive impact on peoples quality of life that keeps us going”.

the first thing I noticed is that my white hair (I am now 77 years old), turned darker. Fist just slightly grey then almost black around the edges. My hair grows faster, looks healthier and get comments about my full head of hair all the time. I have a small bald spot on the back of my head that has had only a slight improvement and some new hair, but not radical.
I would of gave my igrow 5 stars but the little adjustable rubble nodules that sit on the head & that the helmet is attached to really hurt my head. By the time I'm half way through my session my head starts to really hurt where those nodules sit. I do wish it were more comfortable but results are already so good I'll deal with the discomfort in exchange for thicker, healthier hair! :)
This product, iGrow Laser Helmet uses the LLLT technology to solve the problem of hair loss among both male and female human beings. The use of red laser in the technology is in most cases feared to cause heating effect on the users, a claim that is highly condemned by those whom have undergone the whole therapy process and come out without any heating of the head noted. The laser beam is so controlled in terms of wavelength and frequency that it is not heating up the hair follicles at any cost. However, the laser beam activates the respiratory ability of the cells at the hair follicle hence enhance the growth activities and the burning of fat at the regions around the skin.

• Switch to OTC shampoo Nizoral A-D three times a week. It contains ketoconazole, an antifungal that may reduce hair loss by reducing production of testosterone in hair follicles, according to scientists at the University of British Columbia. Balding men who used a 1 percent ketoconazole shampoo two or three times a week for six months saw a 17 percent reduction in hair shedding, a Belgian study finds.

Lori is right! My iGrow arrived yesterday, it was still on when I fell asleep, and my goodness I woke up this morning with the head full of hair! Not only that – it was totally blond (before it was brownish), one of those splendid platinum shades you can rarely see in ordinary falks on the street. My worry now is that it may cost me a fortune to get it cut every other day. You ought to be careful with these inventions – no wonder people who announced here to do an honest test months later disappear into thin air.
I’m a quarter of the way through the 16-week treatment window and have posted two more pictures of my hair from the last two weeks. After 15 treatments I’ve not noticed any new hair growth. However, I have noticed that I’m shedding less. How am I measuring that? Not by any scientific means. Basically, I am just looking at my pillowcase before going to bed to see if there are hairs on it from the previous night. In the past, I’ve always seen 4-5 or more hairs, but lately, I’ve only found 1 or 2 hairs. Is this evidence that the iRestore is actually working? I’m still pretty skeptical, but I’ll continue to monitor things with another update in 2 weeks.
Hello Destiny! Thank you for your review. We truly appreciate the time you took to share your experience and are so thrilled to hear you are enjoying the benefits from the easy-to-use, hands-free, iGrow! Low-Level Light Therapy (LLLT) affects everyone differently, and at different rates, especially when there can be so many variables in producing results. The good news is, the growth has only just begun! Continued use (even after the initial 6 months) will bring more healthy hair over time; however, it is not a ‘cure’ and requires maintenance (once a week or so) when you are satisfied with the results. Regarding the rubber nodule comfort; the 25 minute thereapies can be done thorughout the day, so use the 'Pause' feature and take it off after about 10 minutes, take a break for a few minutes (or so) to relieve any pressure on your head, and then come back and press the 'Pause' button again to continuse though another segment of time. Sometimes it's just a matter of your body becoming comfortable with a new habit. Thank you again for taking that leap of faith and giving the iGrow a try. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns with your iGrow, we are always happy to assist!
iGrow mimics the same LLLT (Low Level Laser Therapy) technology used by hair clinics around the world to encourage hair to appear thicker, fuller and healthier. The revolutionary iGrow harnesses the energizing and nourishing effects of cold laser technology and LED light to dilate tiny blood vessels and increase the blood supply to the hair follicle. Through the principles of "photobiotherapy" the lights progressively improve the quality, strength and thickness of your hair in an average of 12-16 weeks. More dramatic results can be seen after a 4-6 months. Thousands of men and women worldwide have discovered the power of laser therapy treatments for the improvement in the appearance of their hair.
While it is common to lose 50-100 hairs a day, if you are losing more that that, noticing thinning, a receding hair line, or bald spots you may be experiencing hair loss. The American Academy of Dermatology estimates that 80 million men and women in the United States suffer from hair loss, which can be caused by a variety of reasons ranging from disease, hormones, stress, or with the most common cause being hereditary hair loss. Whatever the reason it’s devastating.
Besides, the majority of home-use laser hair growth devices we reviewed are portable. You can stay busy around the house while you wear them, or take them on a trip. That’s much more convenient than visiting a doctor’s office or spa for treatments. And the chances are that the cost of a laser device is lower than paying for repeated sessions elsewhere.

Though it is unclear as to how often you had used the iGrow or if those uses were consistant, we are sorry to hear you didn't have the hoped-for results. This device only has 21 lasers (and LEDs are ineffective by the way), so of course it wasn’t going to work. You’d want a device with at least 300 laser diodes, such as the “Laser Messiah” helmet, which is pretty similar to what an actual laser clinic would use. There are also other things you can do such as scalp massage/microneedling, certain topicals, essential oils etc.
However Beauty & Hair Austria, one of iGrow International distributors, showed very poor and rude attitude toward their customer. I forwarded emails that I exchanged with iGrow team to B & H Australia. The general manager who rang me and wrote emails to me was very rude and didn't want to do anything to help me. She even wrote to me an email saying "There is no point in shipping your device to iGrow. They cannot assist you with this matter. You did not purchase from iGrow directly, you simply purchased an iGrow device from us.The ‘guarantee’ does not apply to your purchase."
“A form of alternative medicine that uses low-level (low-power) lasers or light-emitting diodes (LEDs). Other names include low-power laser, soft laser, cold laser, biostimulation laser, therapeutic laser, and laser acupuncture. Whereas high-power lasers used in laser medicine destroy or cut tissue, low-power lasers are claimed to stimulate it and to encourage the cells to function.”
Braile continues, “iGrow is for men and women with mild to moderate genetic hair loss. It is not designed for individuals who are bald and have had extreme hair loss for a prolonged time. While these individuals may get results, they will likely not be satisfied with those results. The iGrow has also had preliminary results showing it may speed up the rate of hair regrowth in women who have undergone chemotherapy”. In clinical trials, women who used the device for 25 minutes per day, every other day, experienced an average a 37 percent increase in hair counts after 16 weeks, whereas men who followed the same protocol experienced on average a 35 percent increase.
I've been using the i-Grow for just under 4 weeks now and the jury is still out. I am noticing some re-growth around my hairline but the new hair is very fine. I take this as a promising sign of things to come and better results than I've seen with Rogaine and similar products. Hoping that the new hair will start to grow in thicker. Have read a lot of good things about the system so based on this and my initial results, I am optimistic! Will provide future updates...

The only thing that can trip you up here is if you get it and don’t use it as much as you’re supposed to. If after 6 months you don’t like it and end up returning it, the restocking fee will be about $120, so worst case scenario you’re going to pay $20 a month to try it out and see what you think. When you look at it this way, and compare it to the cost of trying out other products, it doesn’t sound like too big a risk. Plus if it works you’ve got a one-off payment for a hair growth solution that you can use daily with nothing more to pay.
Started using Rogaine about five years ago. It helped to keep my hair from thinning further but did not create regrowth. I started using my Igrow about five months ago. I really haven't been checking for regrowth because it takes a long time for hair to grow. I just kept using it. Went to a hairdresser last week who does not know that I've been using the Igrow. She just kept saying, baby hair, baby hair, all over baby hair! Why is so much baby hair here? Look! Look! She held up 3 inch sections of hair all over my head. So, it's working! I wouldn't think that women will be able to see hair growth until it gets some length unless they have very, short hair. Men might see it sooner. My advice. Be patient. Some reviewers say hair was re-grown in weeks or a couple of months. That was not my experience but I'm thrilled with my results.Read full review...

I purchased this product because there is research on NCBI that indicates it's efficacy. I noticed immediately, that the light, which is a mixture of laser and LED , had a warming effect on my scalp. After the first use I noticed my scalp burned a little. Within a week, I noticed my hair felt thicker but no visible improvements to the thinning areas. I have always had thin hair, but I am a male, 33 y/o and started to notice early stages of male pattern baldness about 2 years ago. It had reached the point where it was impossible to hide. The hairs were getting smaller and becoming transparent. I was very disheartened, and so in an act of faith (in science), after doing a little research, I decided to buy this device. I am using this product in conjunction with Rogain and Bosley Revive, which I was using before I started the iRestore for years. I saw this as the last hope for my hair. I can't take Propecia because it gave me unbearable side effects. This device has no side effects, so it's safe.
