What you want to know is whether this device works, and if so, is it worth the money. Well,...I can tell you that it works, yes, it does benefit the reduction and also the regrowth of hair follicles. If you want to know that science of what the device does, you can see countless videos made that discuss what light therapy does to your scalp. Is it worth the cash? For me, it was. For you, well,..it's your money, so I can only suggest that it is cheaper and way less invasive that a hair transplant. Now, that being said, if you are bald and have not seen hair follicles in years, this device will not help you. If have thinning hair and want to make your hair thicker and regrow hair follicles that are not gone, but simply dormant, this device will do what it promises.

The LEDs are stated to burn somewhere between the 650-670 nanometer range while the Laser diodes burn are advertised to burn at 655 nanometers. At first glance, 51 lights shining on your head sounds like a decent deal considering most laser clinics machines only have about 107 diodes. Something struck me as odd though, why use LED diodes if they have not been proven. Even though they are burning at the roughly the same wavelength they lack the power and spread that a diffused laser diode would. Besides, the science is Low Level LASER Therapy, not LED therapy. So in essence there is really only 21 lasers that are actually proven to have an effect on your alopecia problem in my humble opinion. Scientists have tested and proven that for bio-stimulation to occur 4-6 joules of power per square inch is necessary. Some will say that closer to 2-3 joules per square inch is okay but for BEST results try to get 4-6 joules of power. I read a calculation on OverMachoGrande.com that a laser comb with 9 lasers will get you 0.5 joules of power per square inch if it is used for 400 minutes per day. Yes, you read that right, 400 minutes per day just to get a measly 0.5 joules of laser light therapy! That freaking pathetic! So a rough estimate for the iGrow laser helmet power rating would be something like 1.3 joules per square inch. That is less than laughable for my $595 dollar investment.
The iGrow is a standalone treatment which doesn't require anything additional to be effective. However, Apira Science does produce various products and accessories for purchase, which are sometimes offered as part of a "package" by sellers. I do wish you'd contacted us before leaving a negative review, since it sounds as though you simply bought a package that included a free bottle of shampoo alone.

I have now used the igrow for 2 years. I originally used it on alternative days on the 20 minute setting. I done this for a year. I then changed to 3 times a week. Sunday, Tuesday and Thursdays. But on the 25 minute setting. The igrow has really halted my hair loss. My hair is also much fuller. Not sure about any regrowth? Just what you have has more chance of staying and does thicken up. I also use a volume increasing shampoo and conditioner. I always make sure my hair is fully dried before using the igrow and I never use it with any gels, mousse etc in my hair. Not sure if that would make any difference? But I like to give it the best chance of working.

On my quest to find if this iGrow Laser Helmet was the solution for me, I came across tons of other reviews of the product. First I searched message boards closely related to the subject and found a bunch of testimonials from people in the same situation I am in. The problem was, it was a really mixed consensus. Being the cynic that I am, I automatically assumed that the reviews that were raving this thing as a miracle product were left by the manufacturer or someone paid to promote the iGrow. That is what made me move to YouTube where I watched this pair of videos.
I have been using igrow for more than a year and while I do not see any improvement I also do not see my hair getting any worse. I believe that the use of the igrow is helping me maintain my my current hair. I only wish that I started using the unit earlier when I had more hair. My only issue is that my ear pads are beginning to wear out. I do not see replacement parts or recommend alternative replacement pads on the igrow site so that I can replace them.

If your hair loss is mild and your main goal is to stop further hair loss, you can try lower level laser therapy (LLLT). However, if your hair loss is in an advanced stage and you want to regrow some of your loss hair, it is better to use FDA approved (instead of FDA cleared) products like Minoxidil and/or finasteride.  If you do decide to try LLLT treatment, you can also consider other similar device like Theradome and Capillus that have higher density of laser diodes and therefore can potentially work more efficiently.

My hair grows faster, looks healthier and get comments about my full head of hair all the time. I have a small bald spot on the back of my head that has had only a slight improvement and some new hair, but not radical.

Bought this almost 2 years ago, paid over $600 for the unit. Use of it has never resulted in any more hair on my head. It was a total waste of money, and the price was certainly not insignificant. Additionally, the unit just died on me and will not even turn on anymore....but that doesn't matter since it never helped anyway. I am totally disgusted that Amazon would even list this item on their site. This makes me think twice about the quality of the items Amazon allows to be marketed for them. Oh by the way, now I see that the price has been dropped significantly. Guess people are getting wise to this gimmick product and not buying it.

Using the iRestore is quite straight forward. All you have to do is put it on your head, press the power button on the controller and then the start button. The helmet is made of plastic. It has a built-in clap to fit into head of different size. I found the claps are little tight to make it a little uncomfortable.  The laser and LED lights turn on and off for 25 minutes, and you’re done. The controller gives a beep at the end of the session, and the LEDs automatically turn off. It is recommended to use 2-3 times a week. One needs to continue to use the device to keep the results. 
However Beauty & Hair Austria, one of iGrow International distributors, showed very poor and rude attitude toward their customer. I forwarded emails that I exchanged with iGrow team to B & H Australia. The general manager who rang me and wrote emails to me was very rude and didn't want to do anything to help me. She even wrote to me an email saying "There is no point in shipping your device to iGrow. They cannot assist you with this matter. You did not purchase from iGrow directly, you simply purchased an iGrow device from us.The ‘guarantee’ does not apply to your purchase."
Again, this device in my opinion for about 70% of the people who use it, especially those with dark hair and dark skin, but also those who have not been losing hair for a long period of time, definitely less than 5 years, they will do very, very well with this device. I always stress it to be used in conjunction with all the right products, such as our products. Particularly, we have many kits that have the iGrow laser in it, so that all of that can be used successfully.

Besides, the majority of home-use laser hair growth devices we reviewed are portable. You can stay busy around the house while you wear them, or take them on a trip. That’s much more convenient than visiting a doctor’s office or spa for treatments. And the chances are that the cost of a laser device is lower than paying for repeated sessions elsewhere.

After purchasing the iGrow system right here on amazon, I have used the product without lapse for 7 straight months now, about 3 times a week. I took a picture of my head before starting and took one today...unfortunately there is no difference :/ Which means it didn't get worse either, but I was hoping for at least some coverage. I am also using a special thickening shampoo and a DHT blocker, so the fact that my hair isn't worse cannot be directly attributable to the iGrow system. It is very easy to use but it's pricey (also disappointed I am now seeing it for $100 less, I paid $595) and it also makes my head sore towards the end of each session (from the rubber suctions inside the device).

I just started with the igrow. I have hair loss due to taking accutane(isotretinoin). It started after taking it and has gotten progressively worse. After being off for two years I continue to loose a lot of hair. I am near balding on top my head with a receded hairline. Hair loss doesn’t run in my family until late 40’s and early 50’s. Whether my hair loss is just drug induced, or maybe accutane just sped up my genetic hair loss I was destined to have at a much later time, I will bookmark this site and try to update you guys if I have any results at a later time.
