This device only has 21 lasers (and LEDs are ineffective by the way), so of course it wasn’t going to work. You’d want a device with at least 300 laser diodes, such as the “Laser Messiah” helmet, which is pretty similar to what an actual laser clinic would use. There are also other things you can do such as scalp massage/microneedling, certain topicals, essential oils etc.
That thing is hideous. If it does restore my hair though, that does not bother me in the least. The two giant earmuff looking things you see there do actually act as headphones as well. It is fully compatible with your iPod or any other mp3 player. That’s a nice little bell they added and the whistle is the adjustable clips that fit almost any head size. Now let’s break down the technical specifications of the iGrow Laser Helmet as advertised. The important thing to remember here is that an effective wavelength for LLLT is at 655 nanometers.
Thousands of people have successfully used the iGrow but, like diets and exercise programs, it's simply impossible to predict individual effectiveness until tried for 4-6 months. That's why iGrows purchased directly from us come with a Satisfaction Guarantee- so people can try it for a full 6 months and, if not effective for them, return it for a refund.

I have allergies and sinus issues 24/7 365 days a year. My nose is almost always a little sniffly. TMI? Sorry. But I know I'm not the only person who has these types of issues. While several people on the team have reviewed air purifiers, the Airdog X5 is the first one I've tried out and the first one I'll be reviewing. Why have I waited so long? I didn't want to deal with replacing (and buying) HEPA filters. The Airdog has no consumables. Stay tuned for my review coming soon. Please follow The Gadgeteer or subscribe to our newsletter so you won't miss my review. (12/11)
“iDerma is for anyone who wants to get fresher, more radiant, glowing skin. There really is no ideal candidate as long as the user has manageable expectations. iDerma has multiple wavelengths so it works at various levels of the cell. Unlike creams or other topical solutions, iDerma works from the inside out, treating cells to enhance appearance. The lights used in the iDerma are absorbed into the skin and stimulates the cells to produce fibroblast cells, which then produce more collagen fibers while enhancing cellular activity resulting in a more youthful appearance. Obviously, the level of skin damage will dictate results, but everyone should see some benefit”, states Braile.
The more time I spend on this planet the old adage that you never know what you have until it's gone rings more and more true. I have always had long, beautiful hair—it has been part of my identity. And I never once actually thought about how lucky I was to have a full head of lustrous, flowing hair until a few months back when my stress levels hit the roof and it started breaking off and falling out.
I am using it right now but too early to tell. I am following the schedule of sessions diligently and have the thinner hair on top with small but noticeable hair follicles and am not on any drugs. Just regular male pattern hair thinning. So I feel I am the perfect candidate who they say this will work for. I feel six months is enough time to see if this is snake oil fake and a scam or the real deal. Believe me, I will tell you which this is. I am on my second week of usage. I look forward to letting everyone know how I make out and can make an honest judgement.
The iRestore Laser Hair Growth System is clinically proven to treat hair loss for both men and women. Low-level laser therapy is a non-invasive, safe, and clinically proven way to stimulate hair follicles to grow thicker and fuller hair without negative side effects. This powerful medical device uses clinical-strength laser technology to treat balding, thinning hair and receding hairline.
Please when you're choosing your laser device, know that more is not better. You need the optimal amount of energy to get the best result possible. By doing too much, you will actually either cause shedding or you will diminish results completely. Now also too little is not good, but you need just the right amount. Quite frankly, for 70% of the population, the iGrow is providing just the right amount.
The iGrow® Laser Hair Growth System works via the principle of photo-bio stimulation, a process by which nutrient rich laser energy is delivered to the hair follicle. This process causes a revitalization of the individual follicle, and a general strengthening of the hair. The device uses a total of 51 red and laser lights to emit the maximum amount of energy necessary to stimulate the hair follicles and effectively cause re-growth.
Simply select the programme that's most suited to your needs, place the iGrow on your head and let it do its work. iGrow's patented Low Level Light Therapy works directly on the roots of the hair, based on Professor Endre Mester's findings that in the right light, skin cells became healthier and actually grew hair. iGrow has worked on this technology and combined low level laser therapy with red light therapy for the most effective results.
Update @ 9 months: So, it's normal now for people who haven't seen me to comment on my hair, usually asking if I've dyed it darker or just mentioning that it looks thicker. The hairs on my balding patch are fully mature now and seems to be as thick as other hairs although there are fewer of them there. I grew my hair out several inches and at times was sporting some serious volume. My hair is more noticeable in the shower drain, and I experienced one week of excess shedding. But the shedding was temporary and now everything is going well, I'm not worried about hair loss at all. I can feel that my hair is healthy, and I'm enjoying the ability to grow it longer and try different styles.
iGrow uses a combination of proven science and technological achievements. It is the product of decades of research and development. It uses the same technology as the ones used by professional hair loss medical experts without the very high cost of such on-going treatments. LLLT works to invigorate the cells within so that the hair will grow naturally healthy. It uses the scientifically-proven wavelength of 655 nanometers.
I've been using the i-Grow for just under 4 weeks now and the jury is still out. I am noticing some re-growth around my hairline but the new hair is very fine. I take this as a promising sign of things to come and better results than I've seen with Rogaine and similar products. Hoping that the new hair will start to grow in thicker. Have read a lot of good things about the system so based on this and my initial results, I am optimistic! Will provide future updates...
Our verdict? Which method of laser treatment you choose takes a few things into consideration – price, convenience and, of course, effectiveness. You’ll spend more for a laser helmet (or cap) but you get a more powerful treatment. A comb treatment only takes several minutes and many are cordless to provide supreme convenience. But if more power truly leads to better results – as many experts suggest – then a laser helmet provides a better overall treatment option, if you’re willing to spend the money.
