Today the iGrow is probably the most well recognized device in the industry. It is obviously a helmet device for hair regrowth. It operates with exactly 21 diodes and 30 LEDs. The 21 diodes is actually a good number for people who are just beginning to lose hair or individuals with dark coarse hair and those individuals who have not been losing hair for a long period of time basically. If you're losing hair for less than 5 years, you have dark coarse hair, or even a lot of sort of brown or medium brown hair, and again just beginning to lose it, this is a great device because you don't need a tremendous amount of stimulation to get hairs growing. You need the right amount of stimulation. I compare many cases to getting the right amount of energy to like hitting a baseball or hitting a golf ball. It's not more power. It's basically hitting the sweet spot and getting the optimal amount of energy to produce the result, and the iGrow is great for producing that I'd say probably about 70% of the time.

Lori is right! My iGrow arrived yesterday, it was still on when I fell asleep, and my goodness I woke up this morning with the head full of hair! Not only that – it was totally blond (before it was brownish), one of those splendid platinum shades you can rarely see in ordinary falks on the street. My worry now is that it may cost me a fortune to get it cut every other day. You ought to be careful with these inventions – no wonder people who announced here to do an honest test months later disappear into thin air.
It is an FDA-cleared laser hair therapy system  intended for both men and women who suffer from androgenic alopecia. Please be advised the the device is FDA-clered, not FDA-approved, meaning the effectiveness and safety is not rigorously demonstrated (In contrast, Minoxidil and finasteride are FDA approved).  The device is said to use clinical-strength laser technology in treating both hair loss and thinning hair for men and women. More specifically, it is intended for men between the age range of 18-48 (Norwooed-Hamilton Scale between Class IIa to V )and women between 18-60 years who are suffering from hair loss (Ludwig Savin Scale between Class I to II ) (see image below). The skin type IRestore may work is Fitzpatrick Skin Types  I to VI as shown below.

First, let me start by saying I bought my IGrow system back in 2011. I used it diligently 3xs a week and WOW. It really changed the thickness and texture of my individual strands. It also helped dormant follicles come back and my thinning spots went away. Truly helped bring my self confidence back in my life. Once my hair got strong I did extensions for awhile and then I was pregnant so my hair was awesome for a few years! Now that my baby is 3yrs old and I'm 45 my hair has gotten thin again. So I brought out my IGrow out of the closet to get my hair back. The only problem was it kept shorting out. It wouldn't stay on. So I called the company hoping for a replacement box that I would of had no problem paying for. Since it had been over 6 years since I bought it. Well, I gotta say this company probably has the best customer service I have ever experienced. First, I spoke to Jonathan the owner a funny very personable guy who told me to call back on the next business day to get things sorted. When I did and explained to Melody what it was doing she told me, it was a wire in the helmut. So she told me to send back my 6 yr old helmut and she would replace it with a new one for FREE! I was astounded! This company and their people truly stand behind their products and their just amazing and kind. If I still lived in California I would beg for a job. If more companies in the world were ran like this, it would be a much better place. Thank you again IGROW for not only a great product, but for you😃
Hello, I am looking forward to your review as I am a 43 year old male who finally bit the bullet and had a procedure done at Bosley yesterday. The doc recommended some sort of laser therapy to keep the hair I have and I ran across this product on Amazon. I am looking forward to some real world testing before I spend that kind of money on a product. Good luck to you as I hope it gives you the results we all hope for!
When you’re losing your hair you’ll look for anything that works. There are many different treatment options, and each company has a different approach as to how to get your hair loss to stop and even better to get it growing again. Some use creams, lotions, and serums. Others use pills to supply the body with the nutrients it needs to grow hair again. A relatively new approach is using laser combs. The iGrow is trying to take the laser comb technology and make it easier to use.
So far I’ve done 9 treatments and am not noticing any new hair, but I plan to keep doing the treatments every other day for the full 16 weeks and will continue adding photos and updates every few weeks. I’m pretty skeptical that it will help me, but I’m happy to take one for the gadget team and give it a try! So stay tuned and keep checking back for updates.
I'm so sorry to hear you didn't get the hoped-for results from using the iGrow. Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT) is a clinically-proven treatment for genetic hair loss, but naturally results can vary from person to person depending on many factors such as extent of hair loss, genetics and just the differences between individuals. Many people are indeed happy to wear hats, shave their heads or just learn to "live with it", but for those who are not the iGrow has helped thousands of men and women worldwide with their thinning hair.

This product, iGrow Laser Helmet uses the LLLT technology to solve the problem of hair loss among both male and female human beings. The use of red laser in the technology is in most cases feared to cause heating effect on the users, a claim that is highly condemned by those whom have undergone the whole therapy process and come out without any heating of the head noted. The laser beam is so controlled in terms of wavelength and frequency that it is not heating up the hair follicles at any cost. However, the laser beam activates the respiratory ability of the cells at the hair follicle hence enhance the growth activities and the burning of fat at the regions around the skin.

As the name implies, laser helmets consist of an outer shell (made of lightweight material) that houses the lasers and red lights. A typical laser helmet session lasts for up to 30 minutes, although usually not on a daily basis. Laser helmets cover a much wider area of your head and scalp than combs – or, at least what a single pass of a comb covers.
“A form of alternative medicine that uses low-level (low-power) lasers or light-emitting diodes (LEDs). Other names include low-power laser, soft laser, cold laser, biostimulation laser, therapeutic laser, and laser acupuncture. Whereas high-power lasers used in laser medicine destroy or cut tissue, low-power lasers are claimed to stimulate it and to encourage the cells to function.”
Braile continues, “iGrow is for men and women with mild to moderate genetic hair loss. It is not designed for individuals who are bald and have had extreme hair loss for a prolonged time. While these individuals may get results, they will likely not be satisfied with those results. The iGrow has also had preliminary results showing it may speed up the rate of hair regrowth in women who have undergone chemotherapy”. In clinical trials, women who used the device for 25 minutes per day, every other day, experienced an average a 37 percent increase in hair counts after 16 weeks, whereas men who followed the same protocol experienced on average a 35 percent increase.
The helmet contains 51 medical-grade lasers and red LED lights that emit at a wavelength of 650nm. All you need to do is wear it for 25 minutes every other day. You can do other activities while you wait for the session to finish. iRestore says it usually takes 12 to 24 weeks to see a reduction in hair loss. Then you’ll see thicker hair within 5 to 6 months.

When you're using this, it's very, very simple. You simply power this on, simply hit this little power button, and then you will touch one of the heads, either male or female. I'm going to go ahead and hit the male, which is going to turn this on for 25 minutes. The lights are illuminated. There is a static beam and there is a pulsing beam going on in this. These are going to provide different levels of stimulation. Additionally, when you're done, it simply turns off, which is a very nice feature of this. It is wired, so obviously you need to be near a power outlet.

Knowing that the medical device business is challenging to break into I wanted to know what the biggest hurdle has been for the Apira Science team. “When you pioneer a new technology you face severe challenges in credibility and consumer acceptance. You have the dual challenge of convincing both consumers as well as their physicians, who are normally skeptical of the efficacy of these devices and the credibility of the company. We have found that the “science sells,” but in today’s ever-changing environment traditional sources of retail are less prevalent, and digital assets and specialists are required to help navigate these changing waters”, states Braile.
I've used this protocol in conjunction with all of our products very, very successfully, and it is the most FDA-approved laser, meaning iGrow has 2 FDA clearances, one for men and one for women, based upon their own research. This is totally unique to every other at-home device that is a helmet. This is based upon their own clinical research, their own evidence that it works, and quite frankly after using it in practice for nearly 5 years now, I know it works. It's what I recommend continuously.
This is one of the most widely recommended laser helmets on the market, with good to excellent reviews. It features 51 medical-grade lasers, lightweight design, and it’s FDA cleared. According to the company’s own 2017 study, 100% of users saw a visible improvement in hair growth after 4 months; 43.23% was the average increase in hair count. Current cost is around $600.
Unlike other hair laser treatments, iGrow uses a combination of LED and laser technology, at a clinically proven wavelength of 655 nano-meters. The unique design of the iGrow helmet is specially contoured to cover your entire scalp for the most effective treatment possible in the shortest amount of time. The hands-free design is much more convenient than hair-loss laser combs and the distribution of the low-level laser and LED lights inside the iGrow helmet ensures that the treatment targets exactly the parts of your scalp that need it most every time.
Donna the true facts are that if you have hair follicles that still have a live hair bulb in them then the hair can improve. If your hair follicles are dead there is no improving them. The fact is that if you buy on QVC they allow you to use the Igrow for 6 months and if in that time your are unsatisfied with your results they will give you a full refund. Therefore you have nothing to lose. If you like the results keep it and if you don’t, get your money back. It can’t be more simple. HMS Happy was joking at my expense. He or she was mocking me, which I am ok with, but some have taken what they said seriously. It was just a joke!
iGrow mimics the same LLLT (Low Level Laser Therapy) technology used by hair clinics around the world to encourage hair to appear thicker, fuller and healthier. The revolutionary iGrow harnesses the energizing and nourishing effects of cold laser technology and LED light to dilate tiny blood vessels and increase the blood supply to the hair follicle. Through the principles of "photobiotherapy" the lights progressively improve the quality, strength and thickness of your hair in an average of 12-16 weeks. More dramatic results can be seen after a 4-6 months. Thousands of men and women worldwide have discovered the power of laser therapy treatments for the improvement in the appearance of their hair.
I purchased the iGrow in June of 2017, have used it 2-3 times a week as directed, every single week since June 2017. It is now March of 2018, and I can't say there is even the slightest of difference in my hair density. If anything, I might have lost more since I purchased the device, but I think it's due to the progression of hair loss and nothing to do with the device, although I still believe the iGrow helmet hasn't made any difference.
Since it takes several weeks of continued usage of the iGrow to see results I wanted to know what would happen should someone simply stop the treatment protocol. Braile tells me, “Results will diminish over time if no maintenance is followed. This is because without periodic stimulation, cells will eventually succumb to the normal aging process. However results can be quickly regenerated once treatments resume”.
